About This Quote

Banks create money for the public good. They are businesses owned by private shareholders. Their purpose is to make a profit. Banks are not charities and they are not in business for themselves or their shareholders, they are in business to make a profit.

They do this by making loans to people who want to purchase houses or get businesses off the ground. When people get loans, they get jobs and buy goods and services. When banks get new customers, they also get new investment dollars that allow them to make more loans, which creates more jobs and more demand for their products.

If you live in America, then you owe your bank some money. The fact that our government allows banks to charge interest on loans is one of the biggest reasons why we're in trouble today. If bankers put their money into businesses instead of taking out loans, then the world would be a better place because there would be more jobs, more goods and services produced and everyone would be better off.
